Borderlands 2 for the PlayStation Vita was first announced during the Gamescom event earlier this year, and now its release date might have been leaked.

Borderlands 2 is an acclaimed first-person shooter with role-playing game elements, set in the open world of the planet Pandora. The game features cooperative multiplayer and furious over-the-top action suffused with quirky narrative.

The game is being developed by Iron Galaxy Studios and will be published by Sony, but not much else has been released about the game, apart from it supporting up to four people in multiplayer.

The game was recently listed on NewEgg, the Borderlands 2 for PlayStation Vita store page showing a release date of Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at a price of $40 / €29.

The listing did not specify whether the PlayStation Vita version benefits from any exclusive content or includes any downloadable content packs.

Borderlands 2 is currently free on the PlayStation 3 for PlayStation Plus subscribers.
