Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless was the only one to launch the Galaxy S III flagship device from Samsung with a locked bootloader, but enthusiasts already managed to find a solution for this.

In all fairness, Verizon already said that it would be offering an unlocked version of the high-end device to its users, namely a Developer Edition that would go for $600.

However, those who have already purchased the smartphone are left confined to the official software that the locked bootloader supports.

Users willing to take a bit of a risk can now head over to the XDA-Developers, where they will find all the necessary instructions on how to unlock their devices.

Of course, this is not the recommended thing to do, especially since the process might harm the phone if it is not performed right. Just make sure you read all the instructions carefully. More on the unlocking process is available in the video above.
