The smartphone will hit shelves in Black and White flavors

Today, Canadian mobile phone maker BlackBerry officially announced the availability of the BlackBerry Q10 smartphone in India in Black and White flavors, with a price tag of Rs. 44,990 ($794 / €603) attached to it.

The mobile phone was spotted only a few hours ago on the website of Indian online retailer Saholic, featuring the same price tag as BlackBerry officially announced for it.

During the official announcement, the handset vendor also confirmed that the smartphone will be launched through more retailers across the country, starting with tomorrow, fonearena notes.

BlackBerry Q10, the second smartphone in the world to have been launched with the new BlackBerry 10 operating system loaded on top, is the first of them to pack both a touchscreen display and a physical QWERTY keyboard.

The phone will arrive on shelves in India with 3G HSPA+ connectivity inside, as well as with Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, and built-in GPS receiver.
