Aspyr has announced that the genetically-enhanced first-person shooter BioShock Infinite is coming to the Mac this summer. As usual, lucky PC gamers are going to be the first to the party.

No system requirements or exact launch date yet, but Aspyr does have a sizable chunk of storyline to share with us (below).

“Indebted to the wrong people, with his life on the line, veteran of the U.S. Cavalry and now hired gun, Booker DeWitt has only one opportunity to wipe his slate clean. He must rescue Elizabeth, a mysterious girl imprisoned since childhood and locked up in the flying city of Columbia.”

The two are basically forced to trust one another but quickly form a powerful bond as they break out.

They quickly learn to wield an arsenal of weapons and abilities and proceed to fend off stuff like zeppelins in the clouds and high-speed Sky-Lines, as well as some ground-based dangers across the streets of Columbia, all while trying to uncover a big secret.

Sounds like a good addition to the popular shooting series. We’ll be back with updates whenever Aspyr feels like dishing out more details.
