None of the studio's next big titles will appear for Nintendo's console

Bethesda has confirmed that none of its upcoming games will appear for the Wii U, as it's currently not that interested in Nintendo's home console and wants only to focus on the more popular platforms.

The Wii U came out last year and, while Nintendo ensured that it had a strong launch lineup of games from itself and from third-party companies, new title releases have dried up, resulting in poor sales.

This, in turn, forced companies like EA to cancel any Wii U game or adaptation, and Bethesda has joined it by confirming that it had no plans on supporting the Nintendo console.

"The truth is, it's not something that we are currently developing for. I don't know whether that changes down the road or not," Bethesda's Pete Hines told MCV.

"It depends on the games that we are making and how we think it aligns with that console, and how the hardware aligns with the other stuff we are making. We will see."

Bethesda has plenty of big games scheduled to appear, including Wolfenstein: The New Order, The Evil Within, or The Elder Scrolls Online.
