The new and improved Battlelog system for Battlefield 4 will be officially revealed later today, July 25, through a special trailer coming from developer DICE, according to an announcement on Twitter.

Battlefield 4 was revealed to the world earlier this year and, since then, developer DICE has posted all sorts of new screenshots and videos, not to mention plenty of details about the single-player and multiplayer mechanics.

The game will soon receive its first actual details about the Battlelog social service, which will help players connect and stay in touch with friends who are also enjoying the first-person shooter.

Plenty of improvements are expected over the current version of Battlelog, which made its debut with Battlefield 3 back in 2011 and received a new version alongside Medal of Honor: Warfighter last year.

Expect more details and a full video later today, according to the Battlefield Twitter.
