The technology does not enhance the FPS experience

The development team at DICE says that it has no plans to support motion control in its upcoming Battlefield 4 because the technology does not add anything to the core first-person shooter experience.

Patrick Bach, the executive producer leading the Battlefield 4 team, tells Edge that, “We are extremely open to innovation, but if it’s a gimmick, there’s no point unless it adds value to the player.”

Apparently, money is being offered to DICE in order to introduce some features into its next project, but the developers are determined to always focus on the interest of the players and their experience.

Sony has announced that the DualShock 4 and the PlayStation Eye will offer motion tracking on the next home console it will launch.

The Xbox 720 is also expected to arrive with support for an improved Kinect.
