The development team at DICE and publisher Electronic Arts are launching the official website for Battlefield 4, which at the moment has many links to the current video game in the series and a promise that more information about the game will soon be offered to fans.

All those interested are invited to log in and as the number increases, details about Battlefield 4 will be offered, although it's not clear what milestones the community needs to hit.

Presumably, Electronic Arts and DICE are only trying to bide their time until March 27, when Battlefield 4 will be officially revealed during the GDC event.

Rumors are suggesting that the game will deliver a new take on the traditional first-person shooter genre, with 64 player maps making a return and a new Commander mode giving players more options.
