Electronic Arts and DICE are preparing to debut a special Battlefield 3 Premium Edition next month, at least according to the Canadian arm of online retailer Amazon, which has just put up a listing for such a game.

UPDATE: Battlefield 3 Premium is now official. EA has just confirmed it during its Gamescom 2012 press conference.

Battlefield 3 came out last October and, since then, developer DICE has released not just two expansions, in the form of Back to Karkand and Close Quarters, but also the quite popular Battlefield Premium bundle that offers access to all expansions, as well as plenty of extra goodies.

Now, DICE and publisher EA are getting ready to debut a very special Battlefield 3 Premium Edition that, according to Amazon.ca (via CVG), is priced at $69.99 (around€56.68) and will be released on September 15.

While no other details are available, it’s quite probable that this Premium Edition includes both the actual game and the Battlefield Premium bundle.

You can expect the game to be officially confirmed later today, during EA’s traditional Gamescom 2012 press conference.
