In a rather surprising turn of events, after Kevin Conroy said that he's voicing Batman once more, Warner Bros. has officially confirmed that's not the case.

In the new Batman: Arkham Origins game, Roger Craig Smith will lend his voice to Batman, while Troy Baker will handle Joker.

Batman: Arkham Asylum and Arkham City were not only great games, but they also featured lots of great voice actors, culminating with Kevin Conroy as the Dark Knight and Mark Hamill as the Joker.

In Batman: Arkham Origins, a prequel for the first two titles, those actors have been changed. Warner Bros. has confirmed, via Joystiq, that Roger Craig Smith will voice Batman, while Troy Baker stars as Joker.

Both Roger Craig Smith and Troy Baker are veteran voice actors, with Smith voicing Ezio Auditore from Assassin's Creed, Chris Redfield from Resident Evil, or even Sonic the Hedgehog. Baker recently brought to life Booker DeWitt from BioShock Infinite.

As of yet, it's unclear just how Kevin Conroy is associated with Batman: Arkham Origins.
