Warner Bros. Montreal, the studio behind the recently revealed Batman: Arkham Origins, is more than aware of the inevitable comparison that will be made between the studio and the actual developer of the Arkham series, Rocksteady.

Batman: Arkham Origins is a prequel to the first two games in the series, Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, and won't be developed by the studio behind the aforementioned titles, as publisher Warner Bros. shifted the project from Rocksteady to its recently founded Warner Bros. Montreal team.

The new studio is more than aware that it's "standing on the shoulders of giants" and confessed to GameInformer, via CVG, that it's a big challenge to take over from Rocksteady and handle such a delicate project that shows the early years of the Dark Knight.

"Nobody's harsher critics about this game than we are and we definitely want it to stand up to the Arkham legacy," Creative Director Eric Holmes said about Batman: Arkham Origins.

You can expect to hear much more about the game ahead of its release on October 25 for PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U.
