Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has confirmed that Batman: Arkham City, the upcoming open world adventure title from Rocksteady Studios, has seen its PC version delayed until November, while its console editions are still scheduled to appear next month.

Batman: Arkham City is one of the most anticipated titles of the end of the year, at least by fans of the famous Dark Knight, especially since its predecessor, Batman: Arkham Asylum, gained critical acclaim for its tight gameplay and the respect given to the comic book adventures of the Caped Crusader.

Now, the publisher of the title has confirmed that its PC edition won't be making an appearance at the same time as the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 versions, being pushed back into November, from the initial October release date.

Batman: Arkham City was scheduled to arrive on all three platform on October 18, in North America, and October 21, in Europe and the rest of the world, but the PC version is now expected some time in "November," according to a short statement from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

The company didn't give any reason for this delay, and it doesn't look like a proper explanation might be given until November arrives and a new release date for the PC version is given.

Batman: Arkham City is going to offer a massive open world, which can be explored freely by the Dark Knight, filled with all sorts of villains from the comic books, including The Joker, The Penguin, Two-Face, Deadshot, Mr. Freeze or Dr. Hugo Strange.

Batman will be helped by companions like Catwoman, who is playable in certain portions of the story, Robin, playable just in the Challenge Rooms, or Talia al Ghul, voiced by Castle star Stana Katic.
