BLAG 90000 (codename Chlorine) was announced two days ago by Jeff Moe. With Fedora 9 as its basis and a huge number of applications, released under the GNU GPL v3, BLAG Linux 90000 is a completely free distribution with all the tools needed for a desktop computer and more. It is also the first version that includes the brand new Linux-libre kernel, a Linux kernel with non-free software removed!
"It has been awhile since I've sent out an announcement, but quite a bit has happened since our last release, 70000. Alpha releases based on Fedora 8 and 9 made regular appearances. Linux-libre, a project to make a branch of the Linux kernel with non-free software removed, has flourished. This is the first 'major' release of BLAG to include this kernel by default." - said Jeff Moe in the release announcement.
BLAG 90000 comes on a single CD, it is very easy to install, being also user friendly. It includes a repository that combines parts from Fedora, FreshRPMS, Dries, ATrpms, Livna, Planet CCRMA and its own specific packages.
Below are the some of the applications and technologies that are part of BLAG 90000:
