Search for sunken treasures but be wary of underwater dangers

Ubisoft has revealed a few more details about Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, confirming that the underwater sequences in which protagonist Edward Kenway will try to find sunken treasures will highlight the fragility of the player.

Assassin's Creed IV is all about pirates who navigated the Caribbean in the early 1700s and, like any self-respecting pirate, protagonist Edward Kenway will search for treasure, even if it's a sunken one at the bottom of the ocean.

The underwater sequences will require Kenway to hold his breath and, if he wants to avoid drowning, players will need to find and use wooden barrels that have trapped air supplies.

There will be many different dangers in the ocean, from sharks to electric eels or sea urchins, according to a post on the UbiBlog.

What's more, if Kenway gets wounded, the blood will attract even more predators to his area.

The pacing is different from on the ship or on land, and Ubisoft is confident that players will have a great time exploring sunken ships for treasure.
