Developers will also work with mod makers to ensure smooth transition

The developers at Bohemia Interactive have offered some more information on their upcoming Arma 3 military shooter, including plans for a Community Alpha phase that will allow the fan base to get involved with the development of the game early on.

Dan Musil, who is the leading developer working on Arma 3 stated on the official website:

“Following E3, we plan to open up the game to our players. This process starts with the release of a playable build of Arma 3. We call it the 'Community Alpha'. It's intended to enable people who'd like to try the game early on in development help us to shape it up - and make Arma 3 the greatest release of the series. Ours is a large and complex game - being developed by a relatively small team - so we really appreciate your opinions, thoughts and feedback.”

Arma 3 will also be shown at both E3 2012 and Gamescom, showing off the abilities of the new Real Virtuality engine.

Bohemia Interactive also plans to work with mod developers to make sure that they can quickly adapt their creations to Arma 3.
