Ubisoft and Blue Byte announced the beginning of their annual Christmas event for Anno Online. The festivities will bring a whole range of rewards, premium limited-time items and boosts.

Anno Online is a free-to-play strategy browser game that expands upon the Anno series, currently being in its open beta phase.

Players will be able to undertake several quests in order to provide the Emperor with materials, food and clothes for erecting an Imperial Orphanage.

In exchange for their goodwill, players will be awarded with special Imperial Medals that can be traded for premium event items.

The main Island will host a Christmas treasure hunt, allowing players to participate in a series of quests to provide goods in exchange for Imperial Medals and to unlock the Adventure Island.

The player will accompany Captain Ramirez in explore the whole Island, searching for the Adventurer. Players have to build production chains and accumulate sufficient resources in order to explore each sector of the Island.

For the duration of the event, players will have access to premium items like the Oriental Embassy or the French Bakery, a Christmas tree, cake and fish soup, items that offer a productivity buff.

Additionally, some updates were made to the client, namely tweaks to the advisor messages and user interface (enhanced game descriptions, reworked quest book, new messages and images, text box and symbols highlighting). Players will also be able to collect valuable rewards each day, through the Daily Login Bonus system.
