Samsung is likely to upgrade its current flagship smartphones to Android 4.4 KitKat, though no update schedule has been confirmed yet.

But what about other mid-range Android smartphones that are very popular among Samsung’s fans? Well, it appears that at least two of these handsets will receive the upcoming Android 4.4 KitKat update at some point.

SamMobile has just received an internal document which lists some of the smartphones that will support Samsung’s KNOX security solution.

According to this document, Samsung Galaxy S4 mini and Galaxy Mega are among the devices that will support KNOX after they receive the Android 4.4 KitKat upgrade. The same goes for Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S3.

The current list is probably aimed at unlocked versions of the smartphones, so those who own carrier-bound Galaxy phones will probably have to wait for confirmation from their operators.
