We knew the Android 4.4.3 KitKat update for Nexus devices was bound to arrive soon enough, but we just didn't know exactly when.

The build was proven to exist several times, but we had no timeframe to cling on to. But now, the guys over at Android Geeks claim they have been talking to a source who shared an important piece of information with them.

Apparently, the Android 4.4.3 KitKat update will start rolling out for the Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 tablets starting May 23, so towards the end of next week.

This means we can expect the Nexus devices to be fully updated to the new build by the end of the month. The next in line will be the Google Play Editions, which includes the LG G Pad 8.3 tablet.

For those who need a memory refresh, the new build is expected to bring a host of improvements including frequent data connection dropout fix, camera focus in regular and HDR modes fixes, Power Management display wakelock fix, app shortcuts security fix, Wi-Fi auto-connect fix, data usage graph fix or USB debugging security fix.
