Galaxy Nexus is bound to land on shelves at Verizon Wireless in a few weeks, and the wireless carrier, along with Samsung and Google, seems set to make it available with as less flaws as possible.

Before even getting an official release date from the wireless carrier, Galaxy Nexus received its very first OS upgrade, which brought the Android version it runs under up to 4.0.2.

Until now, no specific info on what the update packed inside has emerged, but rumor has it that there could be a series of fixes for issues that Galaxy Nexus had, such as the volume control glitch that many GSM users have been affected by.

However, the fix is not being pushed out to GSM units, and chances are that the fix might be aimed at something else. It has been also suggested that this would be the OS flavor the phone will sport when hitting shelves at Verizon on December 8th.
