Fabless CPU and GPU design company AMD is also preparing for the Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 and GTX 650, next week and the best answer is a considerable price reduction to make its lineup more appealing to the mid-end users that are not gunning for the “best of the best.”

Therefore AMD’s Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition is now priced at just $430 (335 EUR) at various online shops while the plain AMD Radeon HD 7970 will cost you $410 (319 EUR).

The mid-range line is also feeling the price knife and thus AMD’s recently launched Radeon HD 7950 Boost Edition will now cost $300 (234 EUR) while the ordinary AMD Radeon HD 7950 will set you back $290 (227 EUR).

The lower mid-range also sees some price cuts as AMD’s Radeon HD 7870 is now $240 (187 EUR) and the company’s Radeon HD 7850 cards will range around the $200 (156 EUR) mark.

The AMD Radeon HD 7770 is now $110 (86 EUR) while AMD’s Radeon HD 7750 will fit right under the $100 mark at just $95 (74 EUR).
