Earlier this month, Taylor Swift released the official music video for her single “Blank Space,” lifted off her first-ever pure pop album, “1989.” The video and the song both played into the tabloid narrative of Taylor as a man-eating celebrity and were a hit online, with the video getting over 84 million views on YouTube alone.

Useless to say, for her first live performance of the song, Taylor had to live up to expectations. And she didn’t fail to deliver, as you can see in the video below.

Taylor opened the show with “Blank Space,” setting the bar very high for all following acts: she played with fire, she danced, she sang live and she unleashed the crazy like never before. You may call the performance explosive, because that’s exactly what it was.

As noted above, the song and video drew for inspiration on Taylor’s tabloid persona, which has been a fixture in glossies for the past several years. When this fictional Taylor doesn’t fall in love and starts stalking the poor guy she’s been dating only for a few weeks, she’s plotting revenge at home for being dumped, while knitting winter clothes for her cats.

The fascination with Taylor seems never-ending and she seems to have finally gotten to a point in her life and her career in which she’s finally seeing the humor in it, because, until not long ago, she used to take it personally and try to defend herself, which, ironically, only made things worse.

She’s not just seeing the fun side in all this gossip, but she’s also having a lot of fun with it. Check out just how much fun:
