Developer plans to make the game more accessible for players

Video game developer Blizzard has announced that the 4.3.2 patch for the MMO World of Warcraft will allow players to create cross-realm raids with friends as long as they have the Real ID feature activated.

The new feature will work in both older normal and in new heroic raids in the Battlegrounds.

The Real ID feature has been a contentious issue for those who play Blizzard games because it basically requires gamers to use their real world personal identification details, but the company seems pretty determined to push it by implementing features that require its use.

At the moment World of Warcraft is shedding players, dipping below the 11 million subscription mark, and the developers are keen to add more features in order to keep long term players interested.

An expansion called Mists of Pandaria is being planned for launch during late 2012, adding the Pandaren as the first playable neutral race in the MMO.
