Video game publisher Ubisoft announces that it plans to create a complex oil painting using XVIII century techniques, which will include the likenesses of 137 lucky fans of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.

The image will depict an intense naval battle, the kind of which the community will be able to experience virtually when the game is launched.

The publisher states, "Brought to life by the masters at Beaux-Arts school in Paris, the 2.3 x 4.5 meter painting will be displayed online and in the Musée de la Marine gallery in France, from November 4 to December 3."

Fans need to send images of themselves to Ubisoft, following the process detailed on the official site of the Defy History competition.

Those who are subscribing to The Watch, the special premium service for Assassin’s Creed, will have priority when it comes to becoming part of the paining.
