Softpedia News: Reply to opinion

OpenOffice 3 Beta out and Waiting for Download - REPLY TO THIS OPINION

If only OOO writer would allow me to hide the top and bottom margins in Page view would I consider switching from Office XP. This seems like a simple thing. I am writing a manuscript using a laptop and being able to hide the top/bottom margins saves a lot of screen real estate.

A common reply is to switch to web view, but as anyone who writes a long document will tell you, that is not desirable because web view doesn't show the page the way it will be printed. I have seen this same complaint from other people and still, in 2008, OO Writer does not do this. I have looked at OOO website and cannot find where to add a "feature" request, although this to me seems like it should have been part of the design from the beginning.
