| Despite your obvious rah-rah-rah Intel fanboy tone in this article, you failed to mention one important development in this article. That is, that this is precisely what Negroponte and OLPC were telling Intel to do all along. They wanted Intel to license away its Classmate to other manufacturers and let them sell it to whatever markets they desired. HCL won't likely try to sell it into the educational market in competition with OLPC, but instead it'll sell it to its local business markets. When Intel was selling Classmate, it was an obvious point of contention since a supplier was directly competing against its (potential) customer. | | bbbl67 | | Date: 2008-01-21, 08:06 GMT |
