Until the second installment in the “Twilight” franchise, “New Moon,” drops in theaters on November 20, fans will have something to keep busy with, granted they are willing to travel to Utah. The largest corn maze in Utah this year is dedicated exclusively to the “New Moon” film, being made up of two different parts, one for Team Edward and the other for Team Jacob, as Desert News informs.

Aerial pictures of the maze have already been made public, but fans looking forward to getting lost in it (whichever part and no matter whether they’re on Team Jacob or Edward) still have to wait until September 24, when it opens to the public. However, once it does, they will have until the end of October to roam free through it, as the aforementioned source says it will close on the 31st.

“The theme of Utah’s largest corn maze this year is ‘New Moon,’ the sequel in the popular Twilight saga. Although the movie doesn’t arrive in theaters until Nov. 20, this 24-acre corn maze opens Sept. 24 and continues through Oct. 31. Aerial photos show that two separate ‘Twilight’-themed maze patterns at Black Island Farms, 3178 S. 3000 West, have already been cut into the corn – a ‘Team Jacob’ and a ‘Team Edward.’ The lettering ‘New moon 11-20-09’ is also a part of the maze.” Desert News writes.

“A side design in the corn depicts a KUTV reporter or anchorman holding a microphone. GPS technology is used to cut the intricate patterns into the corn. The idea of a corn maze is to enter and then eventually conquer the labyrinths by finding the lone exit. Getting ‘lost’ is part of the fun. Black Island is a working vegetable farm, with about 400 acres in cultivation, growing carrots, onions, cabbage, corn, pumpkins, squash and gourds.” the same publication further informs.

As of now, no other details are available on the “New Moon” maze, such as pricing or visiting hours. Nevertheless, fans are quite ecstatic about the idea, as it’s obvious from the comments they leave on Twilight-dedicated forums.
