The latest version of this Chinese Ubuntu-based distribution is available on Softpedia

Ubuntu Kylin, a new addition to the Ubuntu family that aims to provide a more suitable distribution for the Chinese users, is now at version 13.10 (Saucy Salamander).

Ubuntu Kylin 13.10 has joined the other releases, along with Kubuntu, Lubuntu, and Ubuntu GNOME.

“We are glad to announce the Release of UbuntuKylin 13.10. In this Release, the Linux Kernel is updated to 3.11. We add more useful applications, such as youker-assisant, kuaipan client (Beta, download here), fcitx-qimpanel, unity-china-video-scope, unity-china-photo-scope, and UbuntuKylin wallpapers.”

“Besides, chinese-calendar, indicator-china-weather, unity-china-music-scope and WPS for UbuntuKylin are updated to be more powerful,” reads the official announcement.

Like all the other distributions in the 13.10 series, Ubuntu Kylin will only benefit from nine months of support.
