As we also informed you yesterday, “Eclipse,” the third film in “The Twilight Saga,” has already started casting for extras and new vampires. At the same time, Taylor Lautner, who plays Jacob the wolf, is taking the way to the gym since he’s supposed to add more pounds of muscle to his recently bulked up frame, as JustJared informs.

Taylor is already a changed man as compared to how he was in “Twilight,” the film that instantly put him on the map and made him an international star. After the first installment wrapped and he started preparations for “New Moon,” Taylor became a regular at the gym, packing at one point 26 extra pounds of muscle – and he did not stop there either. Now, in the eight weeks he has until “Eclipse” goes into production, he has to become even bigger.

According to JustJared and the paparazzi photos that just emerged, Taylor has already started working on that. He and his father Daniel were spotted leaving a West Hollywood gym while, earlier in the day, Taylor was seen posing for a photo spread in the upcoming issue of Interview magazine. On both counts, the celebrity blog points out, the 17-year-old actor kept his strong arms and ripped abs under cover – but that is about to change soon as promo shots from “New Moon” showing Jacob are about to hit the web in a matter of days, if speculation in this sense is even remotely accurate.

Speaking of “New Moon,” fans already know that, for a change, the story will focus more on the love triangle Edward-Bella-Jacob that on the two lovers whose story we became familiar with in “Twilight.” When transitioning the book to film, director Chris Weitz also managed to keep Edward for as long as possible in front of the camera, although he is rarely physically present throughout the story, which should add more tension to the plot and make for an interesting experience for fans.

Speaking of tension, Taylor recently revealed in an impromptu interview with the paparazzi that there would be plenty of that, as well as tears and sighs. “There’s a lot more going on in ‘New Moon.’ Heartbreak… it’s horrible. ‘New Moon’ will rip your heart to shreds.” the young actor promised fans of the second installment in the immensely popular franchise.
