Hackers of the Syrian Electronic Army are actively taking part in the campaign initiated by Anonymous against the Turkish government. After they breached the Prime Minister’s website with Anonymous Turkey, SEA has turned its attention to the website of the Ministry of Interior (icisleri.gov.tr).

The hackers have defaced one of the site’s subdomains, posting a message that reads: “Rise against the injustice of Erdogan’s Tyranny.”

According to a message written on their Twitter account, the hackers have also gained access to Ministry of Interior email addresses and passwords.

They claim that the information will be leaked in a few hours, but in the meantime, they’ve published a small preview containing the online ID, email address and phone number of Muammer Guler, Turkey’s interior minister.

The Syrian Electronic Army usually targets media companies that publish “lies” about Syria. However, in OpTurkey, it appears they’ve turned their attention to other organizations.
