Scythe, a company well renowned for its high performance cooling solutions, has just announced the addition of a mid-tower chassis design to its product portfolio, which is targeted towards mainstream users.

According to the company, the Ikazuti PC case was built in order to deliver an optimized airflow together with a decent overall design.

Inside the Ikazuti users will be greeted by an all-black design, which should prove to be a nice addition for modders, and Scythe also allows its customers to choose from three different front panels available in Black, Silver and Dark Silver.

As far as storage is concerned, the Ikazuti has enough space to fit five 5.25-inch drives as well as four 3.5-inch hard disks which can be easily installed using the integrated tool-free mounting system.

These are cooled by a pre-fitted 120mm Slip Stream fan that is tuned to deliver silent operation at 800 RPM. An additional Slip Stream 120 fan is placed at the back of the unit for exhausting the hot air out of the chassis.

In case this cooling setup isn't sufficient it's possible to mount up to two 120mm case fans in the side panel as well as another one in the top panel. In order to avoid dust accumulation the Scythe case is equipped with front, bottom and top panel dust filters.

As most other mid-tower chassis, the Ikazuti is compatible with ATX, Micro ATX and Flex ATX motherboards, and it sports a series of holes for easy cable management as well as a maintenance hole for mounting high-performance CPU coolers without removing the mainboard from the system.

On the front of the case, users will find two USB 2.0 ports, one eSATA port and two 3.5mm audio jacks, which are all hidden behind a small door.

Scythe's new Ikazuti computer chassis is available as of today in three different front panel colors for 58.50 EUR (excluding VAT).
