14 DAY TRIAL // Prolimatech, a company well known for its high-performance air coolers, has started to develop a new series of CPU heatsinks in the Camouflage series that are specially designed to mimic the color scheme used by Asus' Sabertooth motherboards.
The new CPU coolers are based on the Megahalems and Genesis models, but these are now painted black with a dash of pale green thrown into the mix to blend with the Sabertooth board series.
Outside of the new paint scheme, the two Prolimatech coolers closely resemble their non-Sabertooth counterparts, but it's worth mentioning that the new finish adds more than good looks to the heatsinks.
The grainy matte surface is also designed to radiate heat better than regular piano-black fins, so it should theoretically increase the performance of the coolers.
This isn't the first time that Prolimatech has used such a matte finish in its products as the Megahalems Black Edition, that was unveiled just a couple of weeks ago, also featured such a design.
Moving back to the two products unveiled today, the Megahalems Camouflage features six nickel plated heatpipes that draw the heat away from the CPU and into two separate fin stacks, which can be fitted with one or two 120mm fans.
Its smaller bother, the Genesis Camouflage also features a similar dual stacks design, but, this time, these were rearranged in order to offer better performance to the various components placed alongside the CPU.
This includes memory modules and the power phases of the motherboard and Prolimatech says it allows for higher and more stable overclocks. The large array of cooling fins can hold up to three 120mm or 140mm fans.
Sadly, Prolimatech hasn't made available any information regarding the release date, or the pricing, of the two Camouflage CPU coolers. (via Expreview)
