14 DAY TRIAL // Three teens are facing charges for the fatal shooting of a woman in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, December 8.
According to the Inquisitr, 14-year-old Todavia Cleckley, 14-year-old Marcus Velasquez and 13-year-old Kyle Goosby Jr. followed a couple home and shot 22-year-old Kayla Peterson.
Peterson's boyfriend, 28-year-old William Bailey, describes that it all started from a cigarette. The teens asked them for a smoke, and, as the pair refused, they followed them, while shouting and cursing at them.
They ignored and did their best not to provoke them, Bailey says, but the teenagers continued.
“I didn’t acknowledge them. I didn’t look at them. I pretended I didn’t hear them,” he remembers.
As they walked all the way to their home, Peterson told them they wouldn't be bumming any cigarettes from them, and advised them to “get a job.”
It was her remark that got her killed, as an enraged Velasquez pulled a handgun and shot her. Velasquez and Cleckley then took off, and they are both still at large. The young boy stands to be charged with first-degree murder.
Only Kyle Goosby Jr. was arrested; still, he claims he was not responsible for the shooting. Pennsylvania law is not forgiving however, and the 13-year-old was charged with conspiracy to commit criminal homicide.
It's a case of being in the “wrong place at the wrong time,” his attorney, Michael Santicola, argues.
Police are currently searching for the boy and girl involved in the murder. Police Chief Charles Jones Jr. has issued a warning, dubbing the pair “armed and dangerous.”
Peterson and Bailey were parents, with the deceased mother being their 2-year-old daughter's primary caregiver.
“She really was the rock of our family. I don’t know what I’m going to do,” Bailey explains in an interview.
