David Tavares, the developer of the Pear OS Linux operating system, has just announced that he was working on a free Google Drive client for Ubuntu-based distributions.

SyncDrive will be the name of the Google Drive client developed by David Tavares, the man behind the popular and beautiful Pear OS Linux operating system.

The Linux world is still hungry for an official Google Drive client, but no viable, free, and universal solution has been released until now.

With SyncDrive, Linux users will be able to simply and effectively add Google Drives accounts, keep an eye on their storage, as well as to explore and automatically sync their files.

More details about SyncDrive can be found on its official website.

In other news, the third Beta of the upcoming Pear OS 8 Linux distribution will be available for download and testing very soon, so make sure you check our Linux section on a regular basis.
