Well, it really seems that NVIDIA's getting quite a lot of hype built-up around its future “monster” graphics card, the GTX 580, with more and more leaked photos hitting the web these past few days and a whole lot more most likely to follow as the official launch day approaches.

So, after checking out some pics yesterday, it's now time to look at some more leaked shots (available via TCMagazine), this time around providing a more in-depth look at the next-gen GPU, especially in the area of cooling.

Once again, these photos originate from one of those very well-informed Chinese websites out there, and as you can see for yourselves, while not being particularly clear (and that panda-bear shaped watermark doesn't help a lot, either), they do provide some interesting insights into NVIDIA's future GPU.

So, for example, it's already quite obvious that this future Fermi monster will take up 2 slots within an user's desktop computer, most of the space being required by the large-size cooler, meant to keep the scorching heat generated by the 40nm chip at bay.

The cooler sports a single fan, and aluminum heatspreader, plus no less than five copper heatpipes, thick enough to support the level of heat generated by the graphics card, and given the awesome power this thing will generate, we'll most likely be talking about a value that's quite high on the Celsius scale.

Of course, only hands-on testing will tell us just how hot the GPU will get and just what level of performance it's able to attain, but it's likely that we'll have to wait a bit longer before that happens.

However, given the fact that AMD is going to launch its flagship Radeon HD 6900 series of graphics cards in the near future, and, without a doubt, they will represent quite a threat for NVIDIA, the latter might actually push the new GTX 580 onto the market soon enough, thus putting an end to all the speculations currently floating around the Internet.
