Motorola Mobility and major carrier TIM have recently announced that availability of three new feature-phones in Brazil: Motorola MOTOKEY XT EX118, MOTOKEY EX108 and WX294.

It appears that none of the newly announced mobile phones will be available in other countries, and two of them will be exclusively retailed through TIM.

The Motorola MOTOKEY XT EX118 combines a 2.4-inch capacitive touchscreen and a full portrait QWERTY keyboard in an ultra slim and elegant design.

The phone also sports a 3.0-megapixel camera, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32 GB), Bluetooth stereo sound, stereo radio and a 3.5mm earphone jack.

The new Motorola MOTOKEY XT EX118 will be available from TIM for R$336 (about $217), unlocked, on a pay-as-you-go contract.

TIM’s strategy is to offer differentiated handsets at affordable prices that drive use of voice and data services through our innovative Infinity and Liberty plans,” said Roger Solé, marketing consumer director, TIM Brazil.

The cheaper version of the EX118, the MOTOKEY EX108 comes with a slightly smaller 2-inch display with 220 x 176 pixels resolution, a 2-megapixel camera, FM radio, as well as a microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 16GB, 2GB memory card included).

Motorola MOTOKEY EX108 is also available exclusively from TIM for R$252 (about $165) unlocked, on a pay-as-you-go plan.

The only handset that might be sold by other Brazilian retailers and is not a TIM exclusive it the Motorola WX294.

The phone features dual-SIM with dual stand-by capabilities and comes with a very small 1.8-inch display with 128 x 160 pixels resolution.

It sports a sub-par VGA camera with LED flash, FM radio, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 16GB, 2GB memory card included).

Motorola WX294 is now available at major retail outlets throughout Brazil and can be purchased for R$249 ($160), unlocked.
