The latest feature-phone launched by Motorola, the GLEAM+ has just reached Spanish shores. The clamshell will be available this month through major carriers, including Orange, Vodafone and Yoigo, for an affordable price that will be announced closer to launch.

The successor of the one-year-old Motorola GLEAM come with a thinner body and an elegant flip design meant to appeal trendsetters.

At only 13.5mm, Motorola GLEAM+ clamshell fits perfectly in hand, while the simple and compact design makes it stand out from other devices in its price range.

The phone comes with a clear, crisp 2.8-inch main display that supports 240 x 400 pixels resolution, as well as a secondary external LED matrix display with icons. The latter provides notifications and alerts when users miss a call or a message.

Aside from the modern look, the LED matrix display is another interesting feature that sets it apart from other feature-phones.

Motorola GLEAM+ sports the same 2-megapixel photo snapper with video recording capabilities, just like its predecessor.

However, this one packs 50MB of internal memory, whereas the standard Motorola GLEAM comes with only 5MB onboard memory. Obviously, the storage amount can be expanded up to 16GB via microSD card.

Although the clamshell embeds a small capacity 750 mAh Li-Ion battery, the handset maker promises it will provide users with up to 417 hours of standby time, but only around 5 hours of talk time.

Other highlights of the Motorola GLEAM+ include: FM radio, MP3 player, Bluetooth 2.1 support and microUSD port.

The Motorola GLEAM+ is as stylish and easy to use as ever for the consumer who enjoys the simple things in life, without compromising on design and functionality. We designed this handset with a clear focus on delivering a great experience in a simple, sleek and stylish design,” said Juan Carlos de la Vela, general manager, Mobile Devices, Motorola Mobility Espana SL.
