14 DAY TRIAL // Fresh off reports that things between Michael C. Hall and estranged wife Jennifer Carpenter have gotten so worse they’re hardly able to work together on “Dexter,” comes a new rumor: he’s been dating a mystery woman who happens to be 15 years younger than him.
When the two stars from Showtime’s series “Dexter” announced they were getting a divorce, fans were shocked because they had offered zero indication that they were having marital problems.
As an explanation, many chose to believe rumors that he cheated on her with co-star Julia Stiles, though neither ever addressed the issue, preferring to cite “irreconcilable differences” as the cause of the split.
The Daily Mail is now saying that Michael has already moved on from his failed marriage, by dating a younger woman and managing, so far, to keep the romance out of the pages of the tabloids.
Admittedly, the two started seeing each other only 3 months after the divorce.
“Hall has reportedly been dating 25-year-old Vanessa Abrue, who works for Showtime the network that owns his show Dexter, since March – less than three months after Jennifer, 31, filed for divorce from the star,” the Mail informs.
Unnamed sources say that, on the actor’s part, there’s a lot of interest to keep the romance under wraps, but the woman has been talking to friends about it – which might explain how it ended up in the press after all.
“No one would ever suspect these two were together because she isn’t what anyone would expect Michael to be with. They hardly go out together but when they do it’s always with a group of people so no one would suspect he’s with someone,” a spy is quoted as saying.
“Vanessa would constantly talk about Michael texting her at all hours of the night but said she thought it was all worth it. They mostly hang out at Michael's house, but when she does go out in public with him it’s only with others and she walks at a distance,” the insider further says.
“When they all hang out at Michael’s, Vanessa would always stay the night with him but I don’t think Michael realizes how much Vanessa talks about him to friends,” adds the tipster.
