14 DAY TRIAL // Kristen Stewart has never made much of a spectacle of her private life as many celebrities tend to do these days, which probably explains why interest in it increases proportionally to her attempts to fly under the radar. Right now, Kristen is still without a boyfriend after the split from Robert Pattinson.
However, she is not single, Star magazine writes in its latest print issue (story via CB). She is dating her good friend Alicia Cargile, with whom she’s been photographed a lot in recent years and who is part of her inner circle of friends.
Above is a grainy shot of the two out and about, grabbing a cup of coffee in December 2013. Fans of the “Twilight” actress know that she always travels with her friends, most of which are women. They must also know that rumors that she’s a lesbian have been around for some time and that she never addressed them directly.
Star is now saying that Alicia was there for Kristen after the Pattinson heartbreak and that, in time, the relationship progressed into something romantic.
“Sources say a romance began after Alicia comforted Kristen following her devastating split from Rob last May. The pair have dropped hints of their own by frequently stepping out on different occasions wearing the same clothes,” Star writes.
“Love is love to Kristen. She’s really happy with Alicia,” an insider is quoted as saying.
Love is also private for Kristen, which is why she never liked to parade her romantic interests for the paparazzi or on the red carpet. Though she’s believed to have started dating her “Twilight” co-star Pattinson while they were still shooting the first movie, it wasn’t until a couple of years later that they were first spotted in public in a couple-y type of situation.
Somewhat ironically, it wasn’t until shortly before the breakup that they started talking about the romance with the media, even though it was always in the most general terms possible.
Then those scandalous pictures came, when Kristen was photographed making out with Rupert Sanders, who had directed her in “Snow White and the Huntsman” and who was, at the time, married. She and Robert broke up for a while and reconciled later, in one final attempt to make it work.
When they broke up, it was for good. Despite rumors saying they’re still “hooking up” whenever they get the chance to do it in secret, they haven’t been seen together in public in a very long time.
