Jennifer Garner is reportedly determined to do her best to keep Jennifer Lopez away from Ben Affleck

Following reports in the media that, now that she’s single, Jennifer Lopez is eyeing a reconciliation with her ex Ben Affleck – now a married man and a husband, Jennifer Garner, his wife, is reportedly taking measures to ensure that doesn’t happen.

As we also noted on several previous occasions, since she filed for divorce from Marc Anthony, Jennifer has been linked in the press with Affleck again, though it’s not even known if they still kept in touch after their split many years ago.

Tabloids have been having a field day with reports that the two are meeting in secret and talking about giving their romance another try – and some of this has also reached Garner’s ears, a new report says.

The latest print issue of Star Magazine (story via here) claims Garner is actually worried that the other Jennifer might steal Ben from her, so she’s trying to make sure she does everything she can to prevent it.

“Jennifer Garner isn’t taking kindly to rumors that her hubby, Ben Affleck, reconnected with his ex Jennifer Lopez – and she’s doing her best to make sure it never happens,” Star writes.

“Garner is telling friends she will fight like hell to keep her family intact and JLo out of Ben’s life. Garner doesn’t believe that J.Lo and her husband should have anything to talk about now – especially since ‘they parted in a very unfriendly manner,’ says a source,” the magazine goes on to say.

Plus, Ben has a family now and his focus should be on keeping it together and not wander back to an ex he broke up with such a long time ago.

“Jennifer [Garner] has also told friends that she believes family is the most important factor in her life – and she intends to keep her family together forever,” Star says.

“My source adds that Ben and Jennifer are ‘still very much together and will always put the welfare of their children first’,” the mag adds.
