BFFs no more: report claims Cox and Aniston have drifted apart in the past year

They’ve been there for each other through the worst and the best of moments but, it would seem, there comes a time for everything to end. Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox are no longer best friends, a new report claims.

The two actresses became friends when they started working on the popular sitcom “Friends” and have been practically inseparable ever since.

For a very long time, they did everything together, from going on vacations to exotic destinations to dieting and attending fashion shows.

However, for about a year now, they have not been photographed together at all, Us Magazine writes. This could mean that they’ve cooled off or even perhaps that they’re no longer friends.

Sources say for the publication that Aniston is very upset at Courteney for how she’s handling her trial separation from husband of 11 years David Arquette.

As Jen sees it, it’s not fair that she doesn’t want to file for divorce, yet she sees no problem in hanging out so much with her single “Cougar Town” co-star.

“There’s tension,” one insider says of how come the two are no longer BFFs as back in the day.

“Jen thinks Courteney is acting callous by running around with this guy but refusing to file divorce papers. Like she’s playing mind games with David,” another spy adds.

But there’s more than just Jennifer’s affection for David that is getting in the way of their friendship: she also compares what Courtney is doing to David to what Brad Pitt did to her with Angelina.

“Cox’s post-separation antics with her costar even reminded Aniston of her own marital heartache with ex Brad Pitt, who took up with Angelina Jolie weeks after their 2005 split,” Us writes.

“She hates watching Courteney do the same thing,” an insider confirms.

Of course, it could also be that Jennifer is simply too busy at work to have as much time to spend with friends as before.
