14 DAY TRIAL // Unveiled a few days earlier ahead of IFA 2013 trade fair, the Optimus G Pad 8.3 is LG’s attempt to compete with Google’s Nexus 7 and Apple’s iPad mini tablets.
Unlike the other two tablets, LG’s tablet sports a slightly larger display. The slate boasts an 8.3-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) resolution and 265 ppi (pixel density).
Hardware-wise, the G Pad 8.3 is pretty powerful thanks to the 1.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm APQ8064 Snapdragon 600 processor and 2GB of RAM.
The tablet also packs a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, a secondary 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, 16GB of internal memory, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 64GB) and a non-removable 4600 mAh Li-Ion battery.
LG G Pad 8.3 will ship with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box in Europe, North America and Asia, later this year.
