Valve continues to release its catalog of PC games

The Valve developers have been releasing their catalog of games at a steady pace, and now it seems that Half-Life Source and Half-Life Deathmatch:Source have appeared in the Steam for Linux library.

Even if there are quite a few important other titles left to be launched by Valve, such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Portal 2, and the first Left 4 Dead, Valve has chosen to bring a few older ones to the Linux platform.

The two games didn’t actually get any major following on the Windows platform, so it’s doubtful that they’re going to be a big hit on Steam for Linux.

As expected, Half-Life Source and Half-Life Deathmatch:Source will be available as Betas, and a final version will be released on a later date.

Half-Life Source and Half-Life Deathmatch:Source were supposed to be remakes of the initial games, using the new engine made available with Half-Life 2. The result was less than stellar.
