The film doesn’t come out until November but, where “The Twilight Saga” is concerned, Summit Entertainment is operating on the premise the sooner the better. Thus, fans can have a first look at the movie event of the year, thanks to a teaser released by MTV.

Twi-hards probably know already that shooting for the final “Twilight” films, “Breaking Dawn” 1 and 2, has long wrapped, so this puts Summit in a position in which it can release teasers whenever it pleases.

As it turns out, it’s aiming to use the summer days to officially get going the huge marketing machine that is behind the insanely successful franchise.

This Sunday, PopEater says, during the MTV Movie Awards, the first teaser trailer for the upcoming “Twilight” film will air.

To keep fans going until then, MTV has released a trailer for the teaser trailer (it’s almost funny how that works) for it. Check it out below.

“Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner will present the first look at footage from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 during the 2011 MTV Movie Awards this Sunday,” PopEater says.

This is something of a tradition, since the previous two installments also got the same treatment at the awards ceremony.

As for the footage itself, it doesn’t show as much as fans would have liked, but it’s still better than nothing at all.

There’s a shot of Bella from the back as she walks down the aisle to marry her vampire lover Edward, but the camera focuses solely on her hair and doesn’t show anything of the wedding gown, which will supposedly look something like this.

What fans do see clearly is an image of Edward in his tux and white shirt, as he’s waiting for Bella to join him and become his wife.

There’s also a good shot of some of the other members of the Cullen clan, but that’s about it.

Since the teaser hints the official teaser trailer will offer more, fans are hoping Team Jacob will also get something about their favorite character.
