Firefox OS

, the mobile operating system that Mozilla is set to bring to the market before the end of this year, might have some very appealing applications to offer to its users, it seems.

Apparently, at an upcoming developer conference set to take place in India soon, applications such as WhatsApp and Angry Birds are expected to be showcased on devices running under the OS, although no official confirmation on this has been provided as of now.

Furthermore, a recent article on PhoneArena claims that the platform will be showcased on handsets coming from Indian phone makers, which suggests that the range of Firefox OS-based smartphones being built at the moment is larger than expected.

What remains to be seen is when exactly said developer event will take place, and what other apps for the mobile OS will be showcased there.
