NVIDIA may have already unleashed a driver release for its large collection of notebook-aimed graphics processing units, but it seems that its top desktop card also got attention in the form of the beta GeForce/ION Driver V267.31.

Some end-users may already have noticed that NVIDIA, the world-class supplier of graphics products based in Santa Clara, California, delivered a new driver not long ago.

Said software (GeForce/ION Display Driver 267.2) is aimed at many of the company's graphics ION, GeForce and Quadro processing units used in mobile computers and makes some additions and bugfixes.

One would think that the company would take a while to release another driver, but it seems it wasted no time in this case.

What NVIDIA did was unleash another beta driver just one day after the last one, the one in this case being version 267.31 Beta.

It is intended only for the GeForce GTX 580 and does a single thing instead of adding multiple new features or enhancing performance for games, if one doesn't add updates to audio and PhysX.

To be more specific, the driver is the same one as version 267.24, with the exception that the bug which interfered with the GTX 580 being used with multiple monitors is now gone.

As consumers know, GeForce GTX 580 is the currently most powerful NVIDIA graphics card on the market, being powered by the DirectX 11-supporting GF110 GPU.

As for the aforementioned updates, the HD Audio driver version included is 1.1.13.1, while PhysX System Software is taken to version 9.10.0514.

We already added the new release to our database so that users may download it from any of the following links.
