14 DAY TRIAL // Samsung Transfix leaked for the first time last month, when a screenshot of an internal Cricket training site emerged.
However, it took Cricket a bit more than one month to introduce the budget friendly Android smartphone.
Samsung Transfix is now available for purchase for a suggested retail price of $179.99 (about 132 EUR) via Cricket retail stores.
By the look of it, Samsung Transfix has similar features as Samsung Vitality, but the former comes with an additional full slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

Combined with its affordable price we believe the Transfix will be attractive to our customers looking for an Android device,” said Matt Stoiber, vice president and general manager, devices for Cricket.
Furthermore, the Transfix (SCH-R730) is powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread and provides access to more than 250,000 apps via Android Market.
Samsung Transfix is an affordable smartphone and comes equipped with an 800MHz processor and features a 3.2-inch HVGA capacitive multi-touch display.
In addition, it sports a mediocre 3.2-megapixel photo snapper with video recording capabilities, and a microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).
“We are excited to offer another Android Gingerbread smartphone, the Samsung Transfix, to Cricket's network. We continue to work with Cricket to provide customers devices to fit their needs, and the Transfix is an outstanding messaging device,” said Todd Pendleton, chief marketing officer of Samsung Mobile.
Obviously, the Transfix comes pre-loaded with popular Android apps, including Google's Gmail, Maps, YouTube, Calendar, Google Talk and Google Search.
Although the Cricket states that the Samsung Transfix is available for purchase beginning today, the smartphone does not show on the carrier's webstore yet, but it may be available in stores.
