Over the years CoolIT has been providing some of the nicest CPU and GPU water-cooling solutions available on the market, but now the company seems to be pulling out of the retail space as it will focus on its new partnership with Corsair, providing R&D for the Fremont-based company.

This report comes from the Legit Review website, which attended a press conference where the two companies made their partnership official.

The first product that was jointly developed by Corsair and CoolIT was the Hydro Series H60, other liquid cooling solutions to be released in the not-so-distant feature.

In addition, CoolIT has worked extensively with Corsair to create a new technology called Corsair Link, a software connected control system for case lighting, cooling systems, fans, power supplies and memory.

The Hydro Series H60 is compatible with a wide range of AMD and Intel processors, including AMD AM2, AMD AM3, Intel LGA 1155, Intel LGA 1156, Intel LGA 1366 and Intel LGA 775, can dissipate 130W of heat and features a 120mm aluminum radiator.

A 74.4 CFM fan is also included together with the unit, its noise level being rated at 30.2 dBA while the static pressure is 3.2mm/H20.

“We are thrilled to be working with one of the biggest names in enthusiast computing.” Says Geoff Lyon, president and CEO of CoolIT Systems,

“Through this new partnership, Corsair’s experience and knowledge in the enthusiast computing space has provided invaluable guidance to create a tremendous technology offering”.

“By teaming up with the innovative engineers at CoolIT Systems, Corsair has taken an important step to deliver not just a great cooling product but a platform that allows all Corsair components to be controlled through a software control system,” says Ruben Mookerjee, VP and general manager for Components at Corsair.

The new line of products will be launched at CES in Las Vegas, Nevada.
