14 DAY TRIAL // Rumors that Ciara, who announced her engagement to rapper Future in October last year, was expecting her first child with her fiancé started picking up in the past couple of weeks. On The View just hours ago, she happily confirmed them by showing off her baby bump.
Looking incredibly stylish in a two-piece outfit, Ciara beamed when Barbara Walters asked her about the pregnancy rumors and whether she’d like to confirm them. “Of course! I would love to, so…,” she said, standing up and cradling her baby bump.
You can see a video of that exact moment from the show embedded below. It’s not much in terms of quality but it’s enough to bring a smile on the face of her fans, who must be thrilled with the news.
Attached to this article is a photo The View co-host Jenny McCarthy posted to her Twitter, in which she’s seen next to Ciara who, again, is showing off her baby bump.
Speaking of which, though it’s tiny, TMZ reports that Ciara is actually quite far along in the pregnancy, which means she and Future have managed to keep the secret for a very long time. Credit also goes to their respective staff, who have also known all along.
According to the report, Ciara included a “baby clause” in Future’s tour contract because she wants to accompany him whenever she can but, at the same time, she doesn’t want to expose her unborn baby to anything unhealthy.
“We're told Future's tour contract called for a ‘clean’ backstage environment whenever Ciara traveled with him – no smoking, healthy foods and nothing that could be detrimental to her pregnancy. Our sources tell us Ciara is about 7 months pregnant. Turns out the tour contract may have been for naught – she only attended two concerts because of horrible morning sickness,” TMZ says.
This will be Future’s fourth child and Ciara’s first. The two became engaged in October but are yet to set a wedding date.
