Cases may not be the first things that make the news during events like the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2013), but they are usually more numerous than other devices, so they can't exactly be overlooked.

Antec and In Win are just two companies that brought such products to this year's edition, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

In the case of the former, the GX700 is the enclosure getting attention, due to its steel front panel and the resulting “rugged” label.

It is a mid-tower case with room for large graphics cards, four 5.25-inch drive bays, five 3.5-inch bays (also capable of holding 2.5-inch bays) and a motherboard tray with cutouts for high-end coolers.

Antec's GX700 even has two 140 mm top fans (replaceable with a 240 mm radiator), two 120 mm front fans (intake, optional) and a 120 mm rear fan. Two 120 mm fans can be placed on the side as well.

What's more, the top I/O panel has two USB 3.0 ports and two USB 2.0.

That's about all there is to say about Antec's product. Next up, we have the In Win GT1 series, also made of mid-tower models.

The cases are mostly identical, but they have different colors (black with red, white with black and red) and large acrylic side panel windows.

The GT1 also have three 5.25-inch ODD bays and seven 3.5-inch bays (screw adjustments allow for 2.5-inch support also).

One of the 5.25-inch bays is filled with an optional, high-current USB port accessory, for gadget recharging.

Furthermore, In Win's PC case has the internal drive bays distributed between two detachable drive cages. When a particularly long video card is bought, the lower cage can be removed to make room.

Finally, the GT1 mid-tower has two 120 mm front intake fans, a 120 mm rear exhaust fan and a 140 mm top fan (also for exhaust).

Antec's case was not priced, but in Win's series should ship for under $100 / 76.58-100 Euro.
