Tim Cook has made a rare appearance at this year’s Allen & Co. Media Conference in Sun Valley, Idaho, reportedly to entice media executives to sign partnerships for a home entertainment system.

A post on the NY Times’ Dealbook blog says Mr. Popular – as some have referred to Cook because of Apple’s rare appearances at the annual event – “has lined up several one-on-one meetings with media executives here, fueling speculation that he is busy cobbling together partnerships for a home entertainment expansion.”

Such news will undoubtedly spark more speculation about Apple’s (rumored) full-fledged television offering which analyst Gene Munster is convinced is coming out.

Asked what he was looking forward to at the conference, Mr. Cook said, “I’m looking forward to all the private discussions I’ve set up this week.” He then politely declined to sit down for coffee (interview) with Dealbook.

Let’s do some math in the comments: Apple's CEO + Sun Valley event + the who's who of media executives = X.
